At its core, The Open League (TOL) aims to empower ordinary Telegram users to become active participants in the burgeoning web3 ecosystem of TON. By offering a structured pathway, TOL guides users from novices to seasoned participants, bridging the gap in crypto complexity and accessibility.
This article delves into the latest updates tailored specifically for The Open League projects, setting the stage for unprecedented rewards and opportunities.
The pilot phase of TOL laid a solid foundation, delivering remarkable results across key performance indicators (KPIs). From a surge in active wallets to a significant uptick in liquidity providers, the pilot phase showcased the immense potential of TOL projects. As Season 1 kicks off on April 1 at 12:00 CET, a new era of innovation and competition begins. With three seasons spanning three months each, the journey extends beyond immediate gratification, offering a sustained platform for growth and development over the next two years.
Key Enhancements in Season 1
In Season 1, projects will compete within five distinct Key Performance Indicator (KPI) leaderboards based on their project category. This tailored approach fosters fair competition by allowing projects to benchmark their performance against similar peers.
The five KPI-based leaderboards include:
- Token Leaderboard
- Meme Coin & Community Token Leaderboard
- DeFi Leaderboard
- App Leaderboard
- Liquid Staking Leaderboard
Prizes within each category will be distributed at the end of each season, with metrics resetting at the beginning of each cycle to provide a level playing field for all participants.
Evolution of Liquidity Pool Boosts
Liquidity Pool Boosts serve as an additional incentive for liquidity providers, exclusively available to contestants in the Major League (Token Leaderboard). Season 1 introduces a Minor League to accommodate up to 50 tokens that do not qualify for the Major League, offering them a pathway to advancement.
Other LP Boosts requirements:
- The project cannot receive an LP Boost and enter the Major League unless it is prepared to provide its side of tokens for the liquidity pool.
- The project must introduce a simple token mining mechanic for new users to earn the project’s token for free, safely, and simply. We’ve prepared a Playbook with some ideas to help you understand how to build an excellent incentive system that attracts millions of users to your project.
- The LP rewards provided by TON Foundation cannot be split into multiple pools; projects can choose only one pool per season.
- Projects are allowed to set lock-ups in the farming pools, but the lock-up period cannot exceed one month (one TOL season)
- Each project must choose a pair with either TON or staked TON (stTON, tsTON, wsTON, hTON, or STAKED) to be eligible.
- The project must choose between DeDust.io or Ston.fi for the allocation of the LP rewards.
Boosts are provided for one season and must be matched by the project’s tokens in a specified ratio. Projects have the flexibility to choose the extent of the boost based on their budget and strategic objectives.

Introduction of Category-Based Ranking System
To foster fair competition and provide tailored incentives, Season 1 introduces a category-based ranking system across various leaderboards:
- Token Leaderboard: Major League and Minor League
- Meme Coin & Community Token Leaderboard
- App Leaderboard
- DeFi Leaderboard
- Liquid Staking Leaderboard
Each category imposes specific eligibility criteria and guidelines, ensuring a level playing field for all participants.
Implementation of Wild Card Entries
Exceptional projects may receive a Wild Card entry, granting them direct access to the Major League without prior participation in the Minor League. This mechanism recognizes outstanding achievements and contributions within the TON ecosystem, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
The Open League Prize Pools continue to grow with each season, offering substantial rewards for top-performing projects in each category. These prizes serve as a testament to the commitment and dedication of participants, driving innovation and excellence within the TON ecosystem.
The Open League Rules of Conduct
To maintain integrity and fairness, The Open League enforces a strict set of rules of conduct for all participants. Violations of these rules may result in penalties, including permanent disqualification from the competition. Participants are expected to uphold ethical standards and refrain from engaging in any form of unfair practices.
Participants receiving an LP boost from TON Foundation must NOT:
- Farm rewards in their own pools.
- Collude with others to benefit unfairly from the boosted pools. We are watching closely.
- Sell their project’s token to make a profit.
- Perform other actions of similar character.
The participants of the KPI-based competitions must NOT:
- Fake their metrics through the creation of multiple accounts and the generation of multiple transactions
As Season 1 unfolds, The Open League invites projects within the TON ecosystem to embark on a journey of growth and discovery. For those seeking to maximize their impact and unlock new opportunities, The Open League promises a transformative experience like no other.
