The Web3 gaming business Immutable is going to use Transak as its only payment service provider for the Immutable zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM). This integration will make it easier for game ecosystems to accept both fiat and Web3-based payments.
Immutable Checkout and Immutable Passport will both have the Transak service built in. The first one is Immutable’s full transaction infrastructure for games. It gives game makers a flexible way to add different payment options without any problems.
You can use credit and debit cards, as well as famous digital payment methods like Apple Pay and Google Pay, to make purchases with Transak’s on-ramp, off-ramp, and nonfungible token (NFT) payment service. Harshit Gangwar, Transak’s Head of Marketing, says that this payment rail will allow for in-game purchases of digital items, and that many high-quality games set to come out in 2024 plan to use it.
Immutable’s Head of Product Marketing, Michael Powell, stated that Transak’s first integration will be in Guild of Guardians, Gods Unchained, and Cross The Ages, which are all big Web3 games.
Transak has proven to be a trustworthy payments infrastructure provider by working with more than 350 apps. These include popular Web3 wallets like MetaMask, Ledger, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, LBank, Bitcoin.com, Bake (CakeDefi), and PancakeSwap. It has been used in a number of Web3 games backed by Animoca Brands, a Web3 gaming venture capital company.
Transak’s products are already being used by people who play popular Animoca games like Decentraland, Splinterlands, Revv Racing, FormulaE High Voltage, and MotoGP Ignite.
People who use Transak can pay for cryptocurrencies and NFTs with more than 20 different payment ways in 160 different countries. The fees range from 0.49% to 3.49%, depending on the type of payment and the number of foreign combinations.
One important part of the deal between Transak and Immutable is custom pricing, which guarantees lower fees than default pricing. More than 170 cryptocurrencies on 75 blockchains can be used to pay with this technology.
Companies like Animoca are still interested in the Web3 gaming industry because it continues to get a lot of money. Animoca Brands has talked about how its investment in The Open Network blockchain and its integration into Telegram could help Web3 games become more popular. With more than 800 million users, Telegram has a huge audience that can access blockchain-powered and Web3-enabled games.
This makes it a major player in the changing world of digital gaming.
