As competition for cloud infrastructure services grows, AWS is investing $100 million in an artificial intelligence hub.
To compete with Microsoft and Google in the market, AWS, Amazon’s cloud division, is investing $100 million in the creation of a generative artificial intelligence (AI) solution. By using generative AI algorithms to produce fresh content including audio, code, photos, texts, simulations, and videos, this program hopes to catch up to its rivals.
According to Bloomberg, the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center will act as a platform for clients looking to develop applications based on the most recent generative AI technology to connect with Amazon’s AI and machine learning experts. Known businesses including Highspot, Twilio, Ryanair, and Lonely Planet will be among the center’s first clients.
As competition in the cloud infrastructure market heats up, Amazon’s goal in opening the innovation center is to boost sales of cloud services. AWS wants to draw in more clients and maintain its lead in the industry by providing cutting-edge generative AI capabilities.
