Both PEPE and STX outperformed the top cryptocurrency over the course of seven and thirty days when compared to Bitcoin. However, when compared to Bitcoin, the performance of coins like CFX and KDA was inconsistent.
Only PEPE, RUNE, STX, MKR, and BCH outperformed Bitcoin over the past 30 days, indicating that investors have strong feelings about some projects despite the uneven performance of altcoins. This demonstrates the variety found in the altcoin market and the possibility for large gains in particular projects.
The dominance of Bitcoin hit a yearly high of 50% on June 21st, signaling relative weakness in altcoins. However, when the market gains, it has somewhat retraced to 49.5%. LEO, TON, TRX, BNB, XRP, QNT, ATOM, LINK, and XMR were the only top 50 coins (excluding stablecoins) that did not record double-digit gains over the previous seven days.
