Attentive.ai, a startup specializing in vertical software for the U.S. landscaping and construction sector, has successfully raised $7 million in a Series A funding round led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India.
This follows a previous seed investment of $5 million, with continued support from existing investors Peak XV’s Surge and InfoEdge Ventures, and a new participant, Tenacity Ventures.
The Delaware-based startup, founded in April 2021, focuses on revolutionizing manual processes within landscaping and construction services through the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) and computer vision technologies. Attentive.ai’s platform aims to automate tasks such as site measurements, estimation of costs, material requirements, and project timelines for increased efficiency.
Attentive.ai’s flagship product, Automeasure, provides an end-to-end business management platform. Already adopted by major industry players like Juniper, U.S. Lawns, and Beary Landscaping, the platform uses AI-driven workflows to automate site measurements and streamline the bidding process. The tool enables users to obtain property measurements using a Google Maps-like interface, and it supports manual uploads of blueprints for precise material quantity determination.
In addition to Automeasure, Attentive.ai offers Accelerate, a cloud-based business management software tailored for landscaping and construction companies. This software automates sales processes, enhances operational workflows, and integrates features such as aerial and blueprint takeoffs.
Shiva Dhawan, CEO of Attentive.ai, highlighted the transformation the platform brings to the industry, emphasizing the shift from time-consuming manual measurements to a streamlined, technology-driven approach. The platform’s capabilities include generative AI-based automatic scheduling and efficient data processing.
With a focus on the landscaping industry initially, Attentive.ai plans to expand its reach to construction operations. The recent funding will be instrumental in growing its U.S. go-to-market team, expanding its workforce, and investing in product development. Attentive.ai, with a current annual recurring revenue rate of $4 million, serves over 500 companies across the U.S. and Canada, aiming to attract more customers through ongoing product enhancements and marketing initiatives.
